In-Person Somatic Breathwork Therapy for Women

A trauma-informed space for women to heal early wounds, practice healthy relationships, and grow in authentic connection

Group of people lying on the floor with eyes closed in a living room, some resting on yoga mats or on furniture, with one person sitting in the foreground with back to the camera.

Who is This Group For?

This group is designed for women who carry experiences such as:

  • adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
    • emotional neglect or inconsistent caregiving
    • generational or systemic trauma
    • painful experiences in female friendships or family relationships
    • a deep longing for authentic connection and community

Many women have spent years trying to heal these wounds alone — through books, therapy, or personal development. And while those paths can be powerful, healing relational trauma often requires a relational container. This group is grounded in the idea of sacred sisterhood — not as a spiritual ideal or forced positivity, but as a real, embodied practice of community.

A place where women can:

  • Be witnessed in their truth

  • Hear themselves reflected in others’ stories

  • Navigate differences and emotions with care

  • Remain present with discomfort rather than abandoning themselves

In this space, healing doesn’t come from fixing yourself.

It comes from being supported while you learn new ways of being in relationship — with yourself and with other women.

Why Group Therapy for Women?

Healing does not happen in isolation.

Many of the wounds we carry — especially those rooted in early childhood, family systems, and our relationships with other women — were formed in relationships. Because of this, real healing often requires something many of us have never truly experienced before: a safe, regulated relational environment where new patterns can emerge. Research in trauma recovery and attachment science consistently shows that healing happens through safe connection, not through insight alone. We can understand our patterns intellectually for years — and still find ourselves repeating them in our relationships.

Group therapy offers something different.

It creates a living, relational space where you can begin to:

  • Notice the patterns that formed in early attachment relationships

  • Experience being seen and supported by other women

  • Practice new ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and staying present

  • Repair wounds formed in sisterhood, friendship, and family dynamics

An Accessible Alternative to 1:1 Care

High-quality trauma-informed care is an investment — I know this personally.

Each month, I invest roughly $500 in my own healing and professional support through acupuncture, somatic therapy, bodywork, and clinical supervision. This work is essential for me to stay grounded, resourced, and able to hold this work with integrity. And I also know that this level of care is not always financially accessible at the one-to-one level. That is part of why this group exists. This offering was created to make trauma-informed relational healing more sustainable and accessible — while still maintaining the depth, structure, and professional guidance that this work requires. Rather than paying the full individual session rate, the cost of the session is shared among the group.

Group Structure

• 6 participants total (5 women + therapist)
• $45 per session, per participant
• 90-minute professionally facilitated somatic therapy group

This smaller group size allows each woman to be seen and supported while also benefiting from the relational learning that happens in community.

It’s important to know:

This is not a drop-in class or casual workshop.

This is a facilitated therapeutic container designed for women who are ready to engage in meaningful emotional and relational work alongside others. The structure of the group allows us to build trust, safety, and continuity over time, which is essential when working with early attachment wounds and relational trauma.

What You Can Expect

Sessions take place in a quiet, private space inside a beautiful Quaker church in East Sacramento, surrounded by gardens that greet you as you arrive. Many women notice a shift the moment they step onto the grounds — the pace slows, the nervous system softens, and the environment invites you to arrive more fully in your body. This is not a busy clinical office. The space is intentionally rented just for these sessions, which means no interruptions, no shared waiting rooms, and complete privacy for the group. The space is quiet, grounded, and supportive of the deeper emotional work we will be doing together.

Thoughtful Onboarding

Each participant is welcomed into the group through a process similar to my 1:1 clients to ensure the container feels safe and well held.

This includes:

• a detailed intake process
• trauma-informed orientation and psychoeducation
• clear group agreements and confidentiality guidelines
• ongoing attention to both individual and collective needs within the group

How The Sessions Work

Each session unfolds through a balance of guided facilitation and organic group process.

The conversation and exploration are shaped by:

• the intentions and goals each woman brings
• the experiences and insights shared within the group
• the relational dynamics that naturally arise when women gather in an honest space

Often, one woman’s story or question resonates deeply with others. In those moments, something powerful happens. Women begin to see their experiences reflected through others’ words and stories — creating insight, validation, and a sense of shared humanity that is difficult to access in individual work alone. Many participants describe one of the most healing realizations in group therapy as this simple truth:

“It’s not just me.”

**Please note**

You will never be forced to share before you are ready.
Participation unfolds naturally as trust develops.

Session Structure & Rates

This group is intentionally kept small to create a safe and supportive environment where each woman has space to be seen and heard.

Group Size

5 women + therapist

A smaller group allows for deeper relational work while still offering the powerful benefits of shared experience and community support.

Session Length

90 minutes

This extended time allows us to slow down, explore what is present, and support the nervous system without rushing the process.

Investment

$45 per session, per participant

Each session builds upon the last, allowing trust and connection to deepen over time.

Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In-person sessions are available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and occasionally on Fridays, between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Sessions are scheduled by appointment only, and availability can book up quickly, so I recommend reaching out in advance if you have specific dates in mind.

  • You’re in the right place.
Many women who come to me have little or no experience with somatics. You don’t need to know anything ahead of time. We’ll start slow, gentle, and grounded — meeting your body exactly where it is. As trust and safety build in your system, we’ll work our way into deeper layers of exploration and healing at a pace that’s just right for you.

  • Most clients come every other week, which allows time to integrate between sessions. Group sessions are hosted 1 -2 times per month, depending on demand and participation.

  • Each session is tailored to your needs, but you can expect a quiet, peaceful space to connect with your breath, body, and deeper truth. Sessions may include somatic inquiry, trauma-informed breathwork, nervous system regulation tools, creative visualization, or gentle guided movement — always with full consent and collaboration.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and breathe with ease — think yoga pants or relaxed layers. You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring a journal, water bottle, or any comfort items (a shawl, stone, or essential oil) that help you feel grounded.

  • Sessions are held in East Sacramento at a serene Quaker church. The space is quiet, private, and reserved just for your session — no waiting rooms, no distractions. You’ll be welcomed by a beautiful garden upon arrival and held in a space that feels sacred, soft, and safe.

  • This group is designed for women, with a focus on experiences commonly shaped by female biology, socialization, and relational conditioning—including early attachment dynamics, caregiving roles, and relationships with mothers, sisters, and other women. That said, this space is not rigidly limited by identity labels.

    If you:

    • Identify as non-binary or gender-expansive

    • Or fall outside traditional gender categories

…and you feel deeply aligned with this work, the themes being explored, and the invitation to connect with feminine energy, you are welcome here.

  • That uncertainty is welcome.

If you’re unsure how your identity or experience fits within this container, I strongly encourage scheduling a free consultation. We can explore together whether this group feels supportive for you—or whether another offering might better meet your needs.

This work is about safety, resonance, and relational integrity, not forcing yourself into a space that doesn’t feel right.
